Video search engine Vuclip has raised $8 million in Series C funding led by NEA and Jafco Ventures. This brings the company's total funding to nearly $20 million. Vuclip is an independent mobile video service that is accessible via mobile browsers, leveraging HTML5 technology to power the platform. The service is popular in international markets including India, Malaysia, and Indonesia. Distribution partners include Airtel, Maxis, Tata DoCoMo, Telkomsel, Vodafone, and XL and the company has content relationships with premium content providers such as The AP, Billboard, Falcon Interactive and Times of India.
